PERGAMUM HALF DAY TOUR (WITHOUT LUNCH)
Tour Description:
Depart from port of Dikili and and drive to Bergama for your private tour. Bergama is home to two of the country’s most celebrated archaeological sites:the Acropolis and the Asklepion of ancient Pergamum, both listed among the top 100 historical sites on the Mediterranean. Most of the extraordinary buildings and monuments in Bergama date to the time of Eumenes II (197-159 BC), including the famed library, the terrace of the spectacularly sited hillside theater, the main palace, the Altar of Zeus and the propylaeum of the Temple of Athena. In the early Christian era, Pergamum’s church was a major center of Christianity and was one of the Seven Churches of Revelation (Rev. 2:12-17). The ancient city is composed of three main parts: the Acropolis, whose main function was social and cultural as much as it was sacred; the Lower City, or realm of the lower classes; and the Asclepion, one of the earliest medical centers on record. After all the visits, you will turn back to port of Dikili.

PERGAMUM AND RED BASILICA FULL DAY TOUR :
Tour Description:
Depart from port of Dikili and and drive to Bergama for your private tour. Your first visit will be to Kizil Avlu (Red Basilica). Today, the still-enormous Red Basilica straddles the Selinus River (Bergama Cayi), whose two subterranean galleries provide a canal for the water to pass. The interior of the basilica consisted of three aisles divided by two rows of columns. The central aisle ended in a semi-circular apse, under which was a crypt. Above the lateral aisles were galleries. Your second visit will be to Asclepion. The Asclepion is one of the 3 most famous sanctuaries of Asclepios, the God of Healing. Shaded by pine trees, it was an ideal spot for pilgrims to enjoy the medicinal and spiritual benefits of the spa. Walk the Sacred Way to see the Sacred Well and the Serpent Altar – the symbol of modern day medicine. After visited Asclepion you will drive to Pergamum and visit to Pergamum Museum. The Bergama Museum (Bergama Muzesi), in the city center on the main street (İzmir Caddesi), has a front garden dotted with sculpture, and clean and tidy interior galleries holding artifacts from the excavations of Pergamum’s acropolis and asclepion. After all the visits, you will turn back to port of Dikili.
