Ottoman Memories (8 Days - 7 Nights)

After a travel back in time welcome to the Ottoman Istanbul; a tour focusing on this era- the 15th century. One of our hospitable INTEROMEGA staff will greet and transfer you to the hotel for dinner and a good night sleep.

After breakfast depart for the former Ottoman capital, Edirne. At its peak Edirne once had nearly 300 mosques, one of the most popular, Selimiye Mosque will be on our itinerary. From there we will venture into the Old Bazaar. Arrive at the hotel in Edirne for a satisfying dinner and overnight. B & D

In the morning depart for Canakkale by crossing the Dardanelles by ferryboat. In the afternoon, visit the famous ruins of the nine cities of Troy, Homer’s creation, which date back between the years of 3000 – 1800 B.C.. Then continue on to Canakkale for dinner and overnight. B & D

Bursa is our destination this morning. Stop for lunch, and in the afternoon take in the beautiful scenery of Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. We will be touring the following: the Great Green and Muradiye Mosques, one of the Ottomans finest architectural structures; the Green Mausoleum; and Imperial Cemetery, where the founder of the Ottoman Empire – Osman Gazi’s tomb rests. Dinner and overnight is at the hotel in Bursa. B & D

After breakfast return to Istanbul by crossing the Marmara Sea by ferry-boat. On arrival, check into the hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, adventure into the largest Covered Bazaar in the world, where there is a phenomenal variety of fine leather products, valuable jewelry, and traditional Turkish carpets to satisfy your shopping needs. After being shopped out, return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. B

A full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul’s main attractions which include: the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Byzantine Cistern, the Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, and Kariye Museum (St. Savior in Chora Church). On the way stop for lunch. In the evening, take advantage of an optional By Night Tour of Istanbul, followed by an exotic oriental show of traditional Ottoman celebration held in a popular night club. B

In the morning cruise the Bosphorus, one of the world’s most important waterways over the centuries of many empires. After lunch in Tarabya Bay, cross the Bosphorus Bridge and visit the Asian side of the city, along with the Camlica Hills for an exciting panoramic view of Istanbul. B

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport with enough time to check in before departure. B
